Throwing Preparties and Parties

I surprised that there isn't a thread on pure college parties and how to manage them.

So, I'm going to be throwing a preparty at my dorm with a few guys and hotties who live in the dorms, and then my 2 wings are throwing a party at their place. Now, I have a few questions.

1) There are many girls that I want to hook up with right now, and that includes a few that just broke up with their BFs . So, is it wise to invite all of the girls I want to hook up with to the preparty or just one and a few other friends?

2) Do I invite all of the girls I'm currently interested in hooking up with to the party? or just the few I want to hook up with the most?

My thoughts are because, If I want to hook up with more than 1 girl, that I should party with both of them, because I want to be the Go To Guy for partying, and would like to build that social proofing for when they see me at the party.

Will they be turned off from being jealous and hook up with another guy instead, or will it just make them more attracted to me and will want to hook up with me regardless?

What makes a preparty better than the rest? I was thinking, good music, and alcohol, what about drinking games? do you play those during the preparty or just at the actual party?

drinking games are always good, anytime anywhere... some great games would be beer pong, quarters, flip cup, never have i ever, etc. (just check out Conquer Your Campus, he has pretty much every drinking game out there)...

Another pretty good idea for preparties is to make a power hour dvd/cd... i personally have a dvd filled w/ some amazing pump up/dancing music videos; if u don't know how power hour works, u have to make each song play for only a minute and then after each minute everyone drinks a shot of beer; everyone keeps on going till the hour is up, which by then everyone is feeling pretty damn good

I bought CYC the day it came out back in 2008. I'm reviewing it.

I also don't want to be too drunk to not be able to think straight, otherwise, I'll get sloppy like I used to and not be able to think well enough to game well enough. I'll be sure to make sure I don't get too drunk though.

personally I'm a fan of Corona. What are girls' favorite drinks these days?

i hear ya; for me i usually just get better the more i drink, but if you want to u could just pour less beer in if it is power hour and if it's flip cup or something u can put soda in as a substitute so u don't start to get too drunk (most people wouldn't care).

around here for the majority of the parties people just get bud light, it's cheap, accessible, and everyone can drink it. but when i feel like getting something a little better i'll get budweiser or corona; i also like foreign beers too

Get a hold of some Stella Artois if you can. Good stuff.

Take like two or three shots before the party. Keep a light buzz, especially if the RA's try to crash it. Keep the noise down. The best parties are small, so invite the girls you are interested in. Make sure to bring a guy or two as well. Get some good winging practice in. When they are drunk, if you want to have fun, play around with some bombing openers.

What do girls drink these days? Vodka. Vodka Vodka Vodka. If you really want to impress, go with Skyy or Grey Goose (if you pony up for those, make sure you tell the girls- they'll remember) but Svedka will also work, and make sure you have some stuff that your boys will drink too (i.e. Corona), as well as some form of cheap beer (i.e. Keystone) for beirut (beer pong, if you're one of the heathens that calls it that). Most girls I know won't drink beer, freshmen excluded. Have mixer available too, and have cards, coins, and shot glasses on standby.

I'd aim to have as many people there as possible, so invite all the girls. You'll be excited to see all these girls since you want to hook up w/them, right? So it won't be too hard to show them some love, and it'll give you social proof. Invite some guys, too, but ideally you do probably want to have some kind of ratio between 50% and 60% girls. If it's gotta be more bros than hos, fine- but the way you describe it, you can afford to be a little bit more selective with the guys you invite, and the party will just disintegrate if it's more than 2/3 guys in my experience. Remember, it's unlikely that everyone you invite will show up, especially cute girls who probably hear about lots of preparties.

I wouldn't try to hook up with a girl at the preparty- you've got to at least make a strong showing at the real thing, and here again, if you're selective with guys and can roll into the party with mostly girls, that'll only work to your advantage. Trust me- no one is excited to see a large group of guys show up together.

And, given that you're not going to hook up at the pre-party... these girls will probably see each other as competition, but even if they do get a little jealous, you haven't committed to one yet, so they're really unlikely to make a scene. And, if one does, just stay calm, take her aside, and say, "hey, no drama at my pre-party. I want you here, you're a cool girl, but not if you're going to ruin the vibe, okay?"

It's your party, so you make the rules- remember that.

Note - Buy Grey Goose or whatever fancy vodka only if you can afford it. Some of those vodkas are costly especially for college kids.

Secondly, theme parties are always great if you invite enough girls. It give them a chance to dress really sexy. Maybe you can get them into character?.. haha

Burnettes, dubra, or majorska vodka. No need for grey goose lmao you dont want to hand that shit out if you're like any of us other broke college kids. "Panty droppers" as we like to call them around here, are great little gimmicks for pre-parties. Some of my favorites include candy cane (peppermint schnapps + hershey syrup .. put them in your mouth and swish them around) blue bombsicle (1 part UV blue, 3 parts lemonade) or Creamsicle (Rum + orange juice) are some great ones we bust out from time to time. Deck of cards around and a pong table set up are always required. You dont have to use beer for pong either just fill the cups with water since, like said, most girls dont like to drink beer, you wont have to supply it, and the floor wont get sticky if you spill. I usually invite all the girls I can because usually some of them will flake... be carefull if they do all come you can get in trouble... got written up for having almost 40 people in a small little dorm Suite. Be social, play pong for a little bit, take shots, bust out flip cup after a while if a lot of people come.. play some kings.. enjoy the night man sounds like your golden.
