FR: 30 Days of Daygame in NYC

OK, so I'm posting a bunch of FR's simultaneously. I'm particularly interested in seeing feedback on the interactions where I "lost" the girl. I'm posting all of these together to give an idea of the context that these "failed" interactions took place in, for those of you who have time to read all the way through...

These are the chronicles of my "30 Day Challenge" for daygame in New York this summer, just my day-to-day notes on the approaches.

So I'm visiting New York this summer for two months, visiting from Berlin, Germany. Staying in Lower Manhattan.

A little background: I've been aware of the seduction scene since the summer of 2006, active since a year (I was in a relationship before).

Work, travel, friends and girlfriends in Berlin all kept me from doing cold approach frequently and consistently, so I decided to focus on that in New York.

I decided to approach at least five girls I want every day, in the daytime, for at least thirty days straight.
In addition I'll be out in the clubs at night, but less frequently.

My general approach on the street, especially when traveling:

-Stop girls ("Hey, you're from New York, right?") and ask for some recommendations of cool things to do in the city. Nightlife, daytime, whatever. Before they answer I usually say something like "and don't say "Cats" (the musical) or anything like that".

-They answer, and I either make fun of the answer or show my appreciation and interest, or a little of both.

-We talk back and forth about cool places a little, or about what I'm doing in the city. I actually know NY pretty well, so I feed them ideas and stories back, rather than just standing there asking for stuff.

-I mention some cool things I plan to do while in the city, to seed the conversation with plans for dates. They generally show some enthusiasm for my ideas, like renting a little boat and touring around Manhattan, or borrowing my friend's Vespa and doing the same thing.

-I say something like "Hey, you can swim right? OK, here, write down your number and I'll take you with me if I go on that boat trip."

If the girl seems more immediately attracted or if we connect on some other issue I just ask for the number without a particular plan.

Day 1

Union Square mostly. Love the high volume of women here. I have pretty specific tastes so I appreciate having a very high number of girls passing by me.

Approach as described above.

Five sets, three numbers (not counting obstacles, whose numbers I also take sometimes):

-Inside Barnes and Noble I meet two Russian girls, the one I think is most attractive is reading some book about how to be single and happy, so I start the conversation making fun of that. I take her number, not her friend's.
-An incredible Persian-looking woman by one of the fruit stands
-Two 18-year olds at Astor Place

Day 2

About five sets, maybe more, four numbers (just counting the targets, not the obstacles):

-A cute busty Jewish girl in a sexy dress, with her sister and a friend
-Two lifeguards from NJ
-A surprisingly busty Asian girl by herself
-Another girl, quite beautiful, leaving for LA but returning in two weeks


Also met a bunch of guys from the RSD forum for the first time. I approach alone, but it's always good to have some company.

Day 3

About five approaches, three numbers:

-Two girls from Illinois new to the city
-A Polish girl visiting her older sister for summer (a landline in NJ, probably the family). Beautiful big eyes and huge tits but probably no older than 18, if that.
-A very sexy Russian musician who's all over me immediately, a kiss and a hug goodbye. I'm a musician myself, so that creates a common experience pretty quickly.

Day 4

Not much happened. Couldn't find any sexy girls without guys, started getting bored. I'm just not looking hard enough, obviously. There's hundreds and hundreds of people here. I do some half assed approaches, but don't close.

A girl I closed the other day sees me talking to some other chick, with pen and paper in hand. Makes me uncomfortable.

I go home. Let's not let this happen again.

Day 5

About five approaches, one number:

A very sexy Polish girl and her friend, visiting NY for summer. Unfortunately, only the obstacle knows her number, so I get only hers. She says they're always together though. Looks like a chaperone situation.

Day 6

About five approaches, three numbers:

-An incredibly busty teenage latina, chaperoned by a middle aged Asian lady, who does all the talking. I only get the obstacle's email, she refuses to give me the girl's number, albeit in a friendly manner.
-Two girls looking like American Apparel models
-Another latina inside Barnes and Noble

Day 7

About five approaches, one number, a cute curvy Jewish girl.

I basically go for the number every time.
Exceptions are the few women who are in a hurry to go somewhere, where I failed to have at least a one-minute conversation.
Also some women turn out to be not so attractive close-up, so I let them go.

So I do get a rejection or two most days, but I don't care. I'm seeing so many good responses and getting so many numbers, that it really doesn't hurt if some girl doesn't want to give me hers.

So what do I do with the numbers?

The day after I usually send the text message "I just met your twin!" (which I got from Sinn at the Mystery Method I think)

I get a very good response rate with that, something like 80 percent. From there, we usually joke back and forth via two or three text messages. Then I go quiet for a day or two.

Then I usually call.
-I use a time constraint, like I'm waiting for my friend to show up or I need to leave soon to go somewhere
-I make sure I'm in state, thoroughly socialized and outside the house. So usually I do my approaches of the day, get a couple of nice interactions and some numbers, and then I call my other girls. I actually get more nervous on the phone than on the initial approach.
-On the first call or two, I'll tell some cool stories about things I did recently, joke around, make fun of her a little, then let her go.
-The next call (or text if she's hard to reach) I'll usually make some suggestion to meet up.

At this point, I have a date scheduled for tonight with the two Polish girls.

Also, one of the Jewish girls doesn't want to go on the sailboat (afraid of water) but wants to have drinks instead. Fine. That boat doesn't actually exist anyway.

The Russian girls from days 1 and 3 are also responding nicely, although it's been hard to reach each other on the phone. I feel like I'm the only person in NY that doesn't have a job.

Day 8

Union Square as usual. Very tired today, little sleep and a heavy workout. Anyway...

Four approaches, one number: a pretty sexy Indian-looking girl from Chicago, new to the city.

I know these notes of approaches probably aren't a very exciting read, but I don't have the time to write down all the interactions in full. Those wouldn't be very exciting either.

I guess this goes back to what Jlaix said a number of times in his DVD's: most pickup is textbook, especially when you're just doing short interactions on the street like these.
Go up to the girl, talk a little, joke around, girl likes you, you take her number. No "Cirque du Soleil shit" here.
