Thanks for the post, that's a very interesting point.

The trouble in my eyes is, if you a shy and introverted guy who's just starting out, IME to make ANY progress you have to push you comfort zone as hard as you can, because you have so many social anxieties to overcome.

But then you will be necessarily uncalibrated, you will have to approach girls even if you don't particularly feel like it (because your brain messes you up by finding excuses), you will have to ask for numbers as often as you can, experiment with kino and push every interaction as far as you can. In a word, you will have to put lots of effort in your social interactions.

But somone who does that, following your argument, will be creepy, and I agree that it's hard to dismiss your point. Actually, in a way the very idea of a shy and insecure guy trying to be Casanova is already creepy by itself.

But is there really an alternative to (temporarily) accept one's creepiness? Is there really another way to become calibrated than doing things which turn out to be weird and failing over and over again?

I mean, if you tell a shy and insecure guy to go to a party "just to have fun", won't he just be standing in the corner by itself, sip at his beer and actually not have any fun?

Personally, I don't know how many zillions of times I've chickened out of approaching because I thought: "Man, everyone will see how creepy our are". But the few times I pushed passed that I often discovered that the girls responded far better than I would have thought initially.

So, the questions I'm wondering about are:
- Should you at all care about being creepy?
- And if yes, how to you distinguish between "real creepiness" and just the creepiness your mind makes up as an excuse?
- If you go out "to have fun with everyone and to see who you get along with", how to you prevent becoming the aloof guy with ADD who doesn't manage to exchange more than two sentences with the same person?

P.S. Btw, wanted to say, I really like the stuff you've got here, it's very inspiring!
